CDAD and ZWD Team up for District Winter Caucus Meetings

In February and March, Zero Waste Detroit participated in all seven of Community Development Advocates of Detroit‘s (CDAD) District Winter Caucus meetings. CDAD brought together Detroit’s finest community leaders and neighborhood groups to network and share visions for their districts. Topics discussed included: forming a Community Advisory Council for Districts 1-6,  the role of welcoming immigrants and refuges in Detroit with Welcoming Michigan, and promoting the Detroit’s curbside recycling program. We are so grateful to CDAD for connecting Zero Waste Detroit with more neighborhood leaders who are eager to promote curbside recycling on their blocks and neighborhoods. Through our curbside recycling workshops with CDAD, ZWD signed up over 120 residents for free curbside recycling carts! Thanks again, CDAD. We look forward to working with you more.
